With the aim of developing club hockey at an international level, the European Hockey Federation, in co-operation with Dutch sports marketing and media agency PRO SPORT, introduced the Euro Hockey League, the exciting new format that replaced the mens European Cup competition at the start of the 2007/2008 season.  The Euro Hockey League takes place over several weekend throughout the season.  Reading have qualified for the Euro Hockey League 2008/2009.  Cannock and East Grinstead are the other English representatives.

KO16 2010 Rotterdam

Join the Blue Army as we take over Rotterdam for the KO16 round at Easter. Everyone is welcome to join us. Here are the plans so far…

Travel

The Blue Army are split between two options making sure our invasion of Europe is carefully co-ordinated on two fronts:

1. Ferry from Harwich to Hook of Holland.
Ferry leaves Harwich at 23:45 arrives about 07:00. Cost is about £100 per person if travelling in cars of 4. Times and cars leaving Reading to be determined.

2. Flight from London Gatwick to Rotterdam on Transavia.
Flight departs at 20:55 and gets in around 23:00 I think. Cost is about £100 per person at the moment. This option will require and extra night’s accommodation.

Where to Stay

We are planning on staying at the the Rotterdam Stayokay Hostel. Indicative cost is around £70 for three nights although we are currently trying to negotiate a larger group discount.

Tickets

We strongly encourage you to purchase tickets in advance. 4 day passes cost 45 euros (approx £40) and can be purchased online (plus service charge and credit card fee). Day tickets are 12.50 euros and can be purchased in advance or on the gate if there are any available.
