Darren played a good game in goal for his first clean sheet of the season. Ashley Brown also put in a very good performance at Left Back. The goal came from a Rover attack, James Love picked up the ball in the D and fired it towards goal, his shot was about mid height and wide but Steve Howells was there to deflect it into the opposite top corner, Steve did said he was protecting his head as it was this fixture last year that ended with stitches for him.
Reading enjoyed a lot of play and defended well forthe majority of the game. In attack however Rovers were not so strong often leaving the two forwards on their own to attack. It was a solid performance and if Rovers had supported on attacking breaks there would have been a few more goals.
Main point is though we got a goal and three points.
