Big Double Header Weekend for the 1s

A hard fought draw away at Bowdon took the Mens 1s to the top of the EHL Premier Division this week and they have two games this week to hold on. Today they travel to take on 4th placed Beeston. this will be a tough game but if they win they can extend their lead over Cannock. Tomorrow the Men host Surbiton in their scheduled game of the weekend (14:30 start).

The Ladies also face a tough double header. They travel to 2nd placed Barnes Hounslow Ealing in the EHL Conference East in a top of the table clash today. Tomorrow the Ladies face Epsom at Epsom College in the quarter final of the national cup.

It’s another Six Nations weekend and the big game (apologies to any Scotland/Italy fans) is Ireland vs England at 17:30 so why not stay for a pint and a bite after your game and watch on the big screen at the club.

Finally some advance notices:

Reading Hockey Club will be hosting the Berkshire round of the Yazoo National Minis Tournament for Boys & Girls U11’s on SUNDAY 15th MARCH. This tournament will use both pitches until 11.00am. There will be NO NORMAL COACHING SESSIONS for the U12 age group on this day.

The Mens 1XI are hosting another Race Night on Saturday 21st March.  This is a fantastic night out at the club with drinks, food and horse racing on offer so a brilliant chance to have a good tiem with your clubmates and raise some money for the club funds. You can sponsor races or buy horses now.
