Reading Real Ale and Jazz Festival 16-18 2009

It’s festival time!!! As I’m sure our members and supporters all know for the past 22 years we’ve run a real ale and jazz festival in the summer to raise funds for the asset replacement fund. The asset replacement fund is a pot of money into which all our fundraising efforts go each year and it goes entirely towards replacing our existing pitch, and ultimately hopefully funding a second pitch. It is really important to maintaining and enhancing our excellent facilities at the club. All year long a small committee of dedicated committee members have been working hard to make the festival happen; all week long a dedicated bunch of labourers, including many of the original festival committee, have been constructing the festival site in Christchurch Meadow and now the festival is finally here and we have 3 days to have a great time and raise as much money as we can for the club.

For the next three nights we hope to see as many of you as possible joining us to do you bit whether it be by working at the festival for an evening or bringing all your friends, family and colleagues down for a good night out. Here’s to a successful festival – with all your help we can make it another great event for the club.
