Reading missed several chances before Reading scored through a well taken goal by Higgi. The first half ended 1 – 0. Poly came out running, their younger legs making an impression. They scored despite Paul’s heroic goalkeeping. Almost immediately they scored a second, a very well taken shot from the top of the circle. Reading continued to press forward and eventually managed to score, the evergreen Peter Lowden hitting home sweetly from the left, to leave it at 2-2 at the final whistle.
