Reading have qualified for the National Indoor Championships sponsored by Qatar Airways this Sunday (21 January) at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham following their 4th placed finish in the Premier division. The match schedule for hockey’s premier domestic indoor event and information on purchasing tickets can be found on the England Hockey website.
Reading have qualified for the indoor show piece for a second successive year but will face a tough task to progress to the final as they face their 2006 bete noir East Grinstead in the semis – a repeat of last year’s clash which East Grinstead was to win in dramatic fashion after coming back to force and then win a penalty stroke competition. East Grinstead are in good form having taken the Indoor league title this season. Loughborough Students take on Canterbury in the other semi final, also a repeat of last year.
