The weekend of the 22nd & 23rd September sees the return of Hockey to Sonning Lane, home of the National League winners and National champions and of course the Blue Army Smurfs!

After our fabulous Olympians thrilled us this summer it is back to the business of the National Leagues. The Ladies will be looking to go one step further this season and the Men are determined to retain their title.

Saturday 22nd September sees the Ladies entertain the Sonning Lane crowd, for the first time this season; Captain Emma Thomas’ team take on the University of Birmingham at 1.30pm. In honour of our Olympians this game will be free of charge, we would be delighted to see as many of you as possible come and cheer on the Ladies!

The entertainment continues on Sunday 23rd September as Reading’s Men start their home defence against fiercest rivals and last years vanquished finalists, East Grinstead. Come along and cheer on brand new signing Darren Cheeseman as he makes his home league debut in Reading colours against his old club! Superstar Richard Springham and a refreshed line up will push back at 2.00pm but the gates will be open from 12.30pm so get your seat early!

This season Reading Hockey Club continue to look to attract record crowds to Sonning Lane and with another fantastic year ahead, we invite you to be a part of the Blue Army and cheer on Reading Hockey.

Tickets for the game on Sunday are only £6 for adults and £4 for concessions on the gate. Discounted tickets are available to buy in advance via the Reading Hockey Club website. Reading Hockey Club members this season are entitled to watch all games with no charge.

For more information and to buy your ticket visit the Tickets page now.

We look forward to seeing everyone at Reading Hockey Club on the weekend of 22/23 September! Remember to wear blue and bring the noise!
