EHL Big Finish
By Reading Hockey Club • Mar 18th, 2007 • Category: Home Page, L1, M1, NewsThe Slazenger EHL comes to a close at Sonning Lane this coming weekend. We already know that the Ladies 1s are Champions of Division 2 South. They will receive their trophy after their game against Woking on Saturday (12:00) and have one game to negotiate to try and finish unbeaten.
The Mens Premier Division trophy will also come to Sonning Lane on the Sunday as either Cannock or Reading will claim it as the two top sides in the division meet at the Lane in a title deciding clash. Cannock currently hold the advantage as they are two points ahead of the Blues, but a win for Reading will see them claim the title. It promises to be the biggest game at the Lane since the European Cup Winners Cup last Easter so let’s recreate some of that Alster atmosphere and cheer the boys onto victory.
The Mens 2As also have the opportunity to become Reading’s latest league champions Sunday as if they win their final league game against St Albans they will take the Higgins London Hockey League Division 1 title.
