By Reading Hockey Club • Nov 13th, 2012 • Category: Events, Home Page, Match, NewsOn a busy weekend at Sonning Lane Reading Ladies stole the show with a fine 5-1 win over visitors Clifton on Saturday afternoon (click for a full account of their match from Helen Richardson).
They followed this up by hosting a very successful bonfire and fireworks event on Saturday evening, entertaining a crowd of over 200 to a great evening – congratulations and thanks to all involved…
On Sunday it was the Men’s turn, hosting Loughborough Students in their Premier League contest. Despite a good performance they couldn’t find the finishing touches to convert their pressure to goals, and had to settle for a 2-2 draw – more details in Tom Woolven’s match report.
The next chance to see premier hockey at Sonning Lane comes in 2 weeks time, when on 25th November Reading host a double header with the ladies facing Slough at 12:30pm and the men taking on Hampstead & Westminster at 2:30pm – it will be the last home premier action of 2012 so get the date in your diary now!!
