The Men’s Vets
Season 2006/07

According to my records we played 25 games; excluding our two friendly
inter Club ones our results were;

Played 23: Won 14: Lost 6: Drew 3.

Excluding the Oxted game, we scored 40 goals against 30. Top scorers
were Richard Higginson 9, Keith Hunt 7 and Martyn Palmer 5

The games we lost were against Eastcote - 3 times!, Woking Youngers,
Oxford Hawks & Wokingham. We finished 3rd in our League (WSFA league).

In short, a very good season with too many players at times. We played
Oxted and provided them with five players and still managed to have ten
for ourselves. Hockey was the winner, as it usually was throughout the
season. Some 23 players represented us including the evergreen John
Miller.

Keith Hunt deserves a special mention for our success, without him we
would often not have had a full team and would not have scored so many.
