Crefelder 1 (0) (1) 1 Reading
By Reading Hockey Club • May 26th, 2007 • Category: Home Page, M1, NewsReading were able to draw with Crefelder in Bloemendaal today but because of yesterday’s loss a draw is unlikely to be enough to take the boys into the final. Reading led at half time thanks to a Richard Mantell penalty corner but the Germans accelerated in the second half and Reading suffered with Simon Lanyon and Richard Springham receiving yellow cards with Crefelder taking advantage to equalise. The draw is a better result for Crefelder taking them closer to the final and leaving Reading at the bottom of Pool A, but the point could still prove valuable for Reading in the chase for second place. Another defeat here would have left them with a mountain to climb, but with a good result tomoorw Reading could still make the 3rd place game.
