Saturday the 16th March

Reading 3As entertained Kidlington at Sonning Lane. The 3As started very brightly and were very quickly awarded a short corner and had a very good chance to score before Kidlington had even a chance at goal. The 3As increased the pressure and had several good chances before Sammy scored for Reading to make the score 1-0. Kidlington were awarded a couple of short corner which were well defended by the 3As before Reading continued their excellent play, with a string of good chances and a couple of short corners. In the midst of this spell of play, Sue created a great opportunity which was turned into the Kidlington net by one of their own players to make the score 2-0.

Unfortunately the 3As appeared to relax and lose their concentration slightly, and this gave Kidlington the opportunity to get back into the game. Despite the 3As still creating chances and being awarded several short corners, they were unable to convert them and Kidlington, who had very few attempts at goal, took their chances and scored to make the score 2-1. The 3As continued their pressure having several good chances and a short corner which they failed to convert, before Kidlington were awarded a short corner which they converted to make the score 2-2 at half time.

The second half was quite uneventful regarding chances and the majority of the play for both teams was carried out in the midfield, with very few circle penetrations from either team. The final score ended 2-2.
