Colts Success

The Colts section have completed a fantastic year with the Boys U18′s becoming the Mercian Home Counties League Champions, the boys who also won the EH plate last month.

The Girls U18′s, coached by Damon Hill, finished a great season by becoming the Home Counties League Champions. The girls beat Richmond in their semi and then went on to beat Sunbury in the final where they were level 1-1 at full time, and won with a cracking golden goal 30 seconds into extra time.

Not to be outdone, the U14 Girls, coached by Charlie Lowe are Champions of the GU14 Home Counties League. Their semi against Horsham saw a strong performance by Reading, with the win 4-1 to put them through to the final. In the final they came up against a very good, well disciplined team from Old Loughts. The match was of a very high standard, and in the end just one goal made the difference. Reading had moved the ball up the field in four quick passes and scored, and at 1-0 up it was nail-biting stuff but we held on to win.

A great end to a fantastic season for the Next Generation, who certainly knew how to bring home the silverware.
Congratulations to them all.
