Charlie Seccombe steps down

Charlie Seccombe has decided to step down from his position as head coach of the men’s 1XI.

Charlie joined as assistant coach 5 years ago, before stepping up to be head coach for the last 3 years. He has been a committed member of the club during his time leading the first team programme.
Charlie led the team to the national title in 2011/2012 and was also part of the successful coaching team who achieved 3rd place in the Euro hockey league in 2010/2011.

On his decision to step down, Charlie has said “I have had a fantastic 5 years at the club and am disappointed to be leaving, however I feel it is an appropriate time for somebody else to take up the challenge that a club like Reading offers. I wish the club, players and the in coming coach every success in the future.



Reading Hockey Club would like to thank Charlie for all of his efforts with the club over the past 5 years and wish him all the best in his future plans in his hockey career and with his young family.
