Congratulations Ladies

Here are the winners from this Seasons Awards
Ladies Section

Young Player of the Year

JESS MINSHULL-BEECH

Jess has grown from strength to strength all season.
She plays above her years, both technically and tactically. She has grown to be a solid centre half for the team and can read the game exceptionally well and plays with endless enthusiasm.

Performance Player of the Year

AURORA MEARS

Aurora has had a fantastic first season at the club.
Her energy at training and commitment to the team, even during her injury has been outstanding.
Aurora has shown her class throughout and made a huge different to the side on and off the pitch. She inspires and is respected by the younger / less experienced goalkeepers of the club who look forward to the training each week.

Most improved Player of the Year Ladies Section

HARRIET KAY

Harriet has shown exceptional improvement this year. In one season she has broken into the rockets and moved swiftly up into the 3s and even 2s in the latter half of the season.
She has been outstanding for all 3 teams.
Her coachability has meant that she has taken everything on board and worked hard to demonstrate her new skills on the pitch.
Her attitude to hockey and willingness to play for any team she is asked to, has made Harriet stand out this year.

Player of the Year Award

ELIZA MEIGHEN

Eliza has captained the Riots this season fantastically well, developing a great team atmosphere both on and off the pitch.

She has selfishly helped the teams above and below her without complaint and has, at time, sacrificed her own playing to go in goal for her team when there were no GKs available – often getting man of the match in the process!
A great team captain.

Ladies Team of the Year

REBELS

The rebels have shown the true spirit of what it means to play hockey this season.
Despite losing most weeks and being relegated, the team has shown great enthusiasm, determination and an attitude that has really made them stand out from other teams this season.
They have shown fantastic commitment to training and matches which many would not have in the same circumstances.

Colts Team of the year

Girls U18

HCGL Prem winners and have reached the Finals of the EH Cup having beaten Surbiton in the QF and Harelstone Magpies in the SF

Colt Performance Player of the Year - Girls

AMY COLLIER

Selected for Futures Cup matches at the end of 2016/17.
This season Amy started in Ladies Rockets, but has steadily moved up through the 3’s and now plays every week for the 2’s.
In Colts and Ladies, a consistent attendee always committed and hard working both at training and matches.
