The next Generation...

Here are the Colts U8's to U12's Winners and Most Improved Players of the 2017/18 season. Comments are direct from their coaches.
Many congratulations to everyone, and well done to all the players for a great season.

U8 Player of the Season
Lucy Dell

Always trains with a smile and cheerful attitude. She works hard, and is a pleasure to coach.

U8 Most improved Player
Susie Lawrence

Has progressed well this season breaking into, and cementing, her place in the ‘A’ team. She listens to instructions during tournaments, and is learning to adapt and play in multiple positions.

U10 Player of the Season
Emilie Jourdain

The 2017/18 U10's player of the season was awarded to a person who has shown outstanding commitment to training and has continually improved their skills and ability throughout the year. Their contribution to the Ravens (Girls U10s team) has been excellent which has resulted improved game play and team awareness. They have been a pleasure to coach and their enthusiasm has always shone through.

U10 Most improved player
Olivia Simpson

Olivia was a regular attendee to our training sessions this season - even in the worst of what could only be described as consistently bad weather conditions. Despite this Olivia always had a smile on her face and set an example to others by listening to the coaches and working hard during the training sessions. Olivia attended and played well during the monthly TVMs - but in particular she had a eureka moment at Sonning where she displayed playmaking abilities from defensive positions - transferring and distributing in an almost faultless performance throughout that day. I am very proud of the progress that Olivia has made this season.

Boys U12 Player of the Season
Freddie Blacker

Freddie has had a solid season over performance 7s and 11 a side games. Freddie has shown and applied the skills he has been taught within training and applied them on the field, by being an influential player from the back and ensuring the team has a strong foundation.

Boys U12 Most Improved Player
Freddie Sayers

Freddie has come on strong this year, absorbing and applying all the coaches information and showing a willingness to learn and adapt his game, as well as motivation to practice on his own aspects his coaches have asked of him during the season.

Both boys have shown the elements the u12 coaching team like to see, dedication, effort, willingness to learn, ability to adapt and work for the team - well done boys...

Girls U12 Player of the Season
Mia Moore

Excellent Ball carry, makes good decisions to bring her team mates into play, elimination skills at pace and calm finishing marks Mia out as one for the future.

Girls U12 Most Improved Player

Has grown in confidence into a calm defender who reads the game really well. Her skill levels have really improved with top marks in attendance; and the ability to listen and execute in the matches.

Both these players have another year in this group yet.
