- Ever thought about wanting to umpire, but are unsure as to whether its for you?
- Need some hints and tips on how to umpire better ?
- Get "volunteered" to umpire your game, when there are no other umpires around, but would like some pointers ?

Karen Daffey is running an " Introduction to Umpiring" course at the club on the 11th Jan 2018 from 19:30 for about an hour.

This course is aimed at both qualified and unqualified umpires, to help with building confidence; reminders on positioning and how to better manage the game; refreshers from the Level 1 course.
Or just want to see if you fancy taking the full Level 1 course.

This will also be good opportunity for the un-assessed / unqualified volunteers who have to umpire their games to get some hints and tips on how to umpire the games.

Areas that will be covered are positioning in general and at set plays ; how to anticipate the game; management of the game etc.

It is open to all Reading club members and will be on a first come / first served basis.

We are aware that this is on a training night and will be difficult for some people to attend, but if there is a lot of interest, we will look to run another course on another evening.
