Open Weekend

Reading Hockey Club is holding an Open Weekend at Sonning Lane on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th September 2014.

The Open Weekend is a chance for current and potential new members to come down to the club to help get the new 2014/15 season underway in style.

There will be plenty of things going on during the day, so please come down and support your club – and bring your friends and family along too!

On both days there will be Colts Sessions followed by a Mens Game on the Saturday against Beeston and a Ladies game on the Sunday against Holcombe, so there will be plenty of Internationals on show, hopefully some of them will bring their Silver and Bronze Medals they recently won at the Commonwealth games!!

Please let your club captains know if you are going to attend all or part of the day, as this will help with the organisation – the more the merrier so why not bring family and friends to join in the fun and help us to get the new season off to a flying start.

Volunteers for BBQ / White Wagon and Car parking are welcome – Please contact your club captain or Liz Spencer for further information.

If you can’t get along don’t worry! Ladies Trials are on the 30th August at the club and General training has started – Men on Thursdays and Ladies on Wednesdays.

We are also launching a new website where you will be able to find more information about teams and events at the club. (More details to follow on this website).

The new website will also be the place where you will be able to renew/update your details and pay your membership !!

Please note that there is also a Cricket event on this weekend, so the site will be busy. Hockey users will need to use the car park and hard standing areas (Do Not block the roundabout). Please park sensibly and carefully, there will be a lot of traffic through the car park. Cricketers will be parking on their grass outfields.
