Report from Dave Wright - Reading Chronicle

Kate Richardson-Walsh's dream of ending her international career by playing in next year's Olympic Games looks set to come true.
The Reading hockey star led Great Britain to victory in the World League semi-finals in Spain, where they needed only a top three finish to book their ticket to Rio.
And GB qualified in tremendous style by winning all of their seven games, culminating with a 2-0 win over China last Sunday.
"To qualify for the Olympics is one thing, but to win all our matches at this level is pretty much unheard of," she said.
They kept six clean sheets, with only Canada (4-2) managing to score against a defence in which Richardson-Walsh was again outstanding.
Kate, 35, was one of five Reading players in the squad, along with her partner, Helen, Alex Danson, Susie Gilbert and Emily Maguire.

Helen,33, is also likely to end her international career after Rio.
After the triumph in Spain, Kate said: “It was an amazing performance. We said at the beginning that we’d take one game at a time and build momentum, and that’s what we’ve done. It wasn’t our most stellar performance today (against China) but we dug in and took our chances when they came."

After Surbiton's Hollie Webb had given GB a 25th-minute lead, Reading players had a big part in the vital second goal on 35 minutes.
Danson earned a penalty corner, from which Webb’s shot was saved by the goalkeeper, but another corner was awarded and this time Kate’s pass was deflected in by diving Danson for her fourth goal of the tournament.
Kate added: "I’ve played with Alex a long time and it’s really sweet to link up and see that corner come off."
The opening game against Spain marked Maguire's combined 150th cap for GB and Scotland, while Gilbert made her 50th GB appearance in the 1-0 win over Germany.
Midfielder Gilbert said "It is such a privilege to play with this incredible squad."
Reading HC vice-chairman Liz Spencer said: "We are very proud of our five reading players and we congratulate them, as well as the whole of the GB squad for winning the World League series semi-final and their qualification for Rio."

In the men's World League semi-final tournament in Antwerp, Reading defender John Jackson scored Ireland's equaliser as they came from two down to draw 2-2 with GB on Tuesday.
With Dan Shingles ruled out by injury, there are no Reading players in the GB squad.
