Mixed Results !

It has been a fair season for the Vets section despite the poor weather .

The Redsox lead the way with a fine seasons performance to win Div 2 by a country mile.

The Rustlers struggled a little with the loss of players of the quality of Richard Dodds and Dony Williams and quite a few injuries, they came 5th their lowest position for many years but it has been good to see the return of Andy Steele and things look promising for next season.

The Super Vets came second as did the Grand master but all enjoyed their season. Next year we will be adding an over 65 year team so the section is still expanding!!

Well done to all those selected for the World Cup in Spain and especially Ian Philips who is captaining England over 50’s.

Thank you to Micky Denehy who is stepping down as Captain of the Redsox , he has done it for 7 years and ended winning the league this year

Also a huge congratulations to the Veteran of the Year - Hamish Pringle - for his boundless enthusiasm and optimistic approach to all aspects of the game, on and off the pitch

Thank you all
Nick Barton
Vets Captain
