Ramgarhia 1 Reading 9

Written by Dave Wright - Reading Post

Aaron Hibell was taken to hospital with a facial injury during Blues’ thrashing of Ramgarhia in the NOW: Pensions Cup tie at sunny Southall on Sunday.
University of Reading student Hibell, who joined the club from Beeston, needed stitches for a gash on his chin.
Lucky for the team, Sue Newman was at the game. She gave him first aid before driving him to hospital for treatment.

He was hit by the ball in the first half, leaving a much-changed Blues side with just 13 players.
They included goalkeeper Tommy Alexander, but he played on the pitch with Canadian Kevin Pereira making his debut between the posts.
Despite being without most of their internationals, Reading still outplayed their opponents from the Middx, Berks, Bucks & Oxon Regional 2 League with their players lookking slimmer and fitter!
Ali Higginson opened the scoring in the first minute with player-coach Andy Watts, John Jackson, Seb Knights and Jack Clee all going on to add two goals apiece.

Reading, who led 4-0 at half-time, had plenty of chances to score even more, while the home keeper also made some fine saves.
Blues will be away to Hampstead and Westminster in the last 32 on Sunday, October 26, a day after they meet in the league at Sonning Lane.
