Grand Masters too strong for Surbiton
By Tim Armitage
Bob's first hat trick
The Grand masters were once again too strong for the plucky Surbiton side who braved the cold wet conditions on the Sonning lane water pitch. An eleven nil win may sound one sided, and it was. Reading three up in five minutes,as two goals from Wright and one from Pelly rattled home. Micky nipped in to bag two more and Rage, Fitty and Barty all added classy team goals. Celebrations were a little muted in the club as captain Bob had to dig deep into his subsidy payment to buy a jug for his first Reading hat trick!
Great team performance all round but Peter Sherell and Alan Wade put in a great shift at the back, well marshalled by Graham, Boothers kept another clean sheet, and Nigel was faultless running the bench. Merry Christmas to you all. Bob
You might notice a better quality of selfie this week - on your behalf I purchased for Micky a Selfie stick. Charged with 10 minutes to get it working or buy a jug 9.5 minutes elapsed before ( with a little help ) he linked the bluetooth and started shooting!!
