Wet, wet, wet
Last times outing was damp, this week was significantly wetter.
Yet again the route to the changing rooms had changed! But we eventually all managed to find our way despite the yucky weather! Unfortunately it continued throughout the warm up (the league sheet didn't survive the wet warm up and had to be rewritten....a story for another day!) To be honest the whole game it rained non stop.
Reading didn't have one of their best games, at times the ball could have been played quicker and earlier working together rather than trying to take on the opposition individually. This slowed the game down and allowed Maidenhead to win back possession.
Overall it was a game Reading should have won but thanks to some solid defending to deal with Maidenhead's breakaways were relieved to escape with a 0-0.
The team went back for teas with only the captain from the opposition. Mani's cakes were yummy, everyone had seconds! And to Mani's father's delight there were even some spare!
MOM - Georgia
DOD - Steffi (for taking a free hit, not putting it on the line, hitting it along the outside of the pitch and getting another go as she never played the ball onto the pitch! )
