Review
There were goals aplenty this week for the men with not a clean sheet in sight. Obviously Santa brought the teams plenty of attacking goal pie, but not much in the way of defence. The Mens 4s had the biggest victory of the week with a whopping 8-1 over Indian Gym. The Men’s 2s weren’t far behind with their 7-2 against the same oppo and the Rovers also won 3-1. Reading didn’t have it all their own way as the 3s were held to a 3-3 draw and the 2As were defeated 1-3.
Also joining the goal feast were the Rustlers who shared 10 goals with Surbiton. The Refills game had 9 goals in it, sadly 6 went to the oppo, but the Rascals came out on top claiming 5 of the 8 goals against Tulse Hill. Phew!
Well done to the U14 Girls development side on Sunday who managed to score 4 but not concede.
Preview
Coming up. The men’s block fixture is agaisnt Spencer this week. Will we see more goals, more excitement. The first rule of defence for Reading teams is obviously to attack! The women still have friendlies as the women’s leagues avoid the indoor season.
The Mens and Ladies 1XIs start indoor EHL.
