2. Covid-19 Policies & Guidelines


Getting back on the Pitch from 29 March

The Guidelines adopted by the Club follow the:

a) Government Guidance: Grassroots sport guidance for the public & sports providersers

b) England Hockey guidance

Visitors and members on the Reading Hockey Club site must:
- follow all the signs directing flows on site
- no spectators are permitted unless for safeguarding purposes ie 1 parent, guardian or carer per U18 player and all persons must observe social distancing off pitch at all times (2m or 1m+ with a face covering) and legal gathering limits (max 6).
- use the GREEN TICKS and RED CROSSES providing guidance on where to sit and stand
- use the hand sanitiser on your way INTO the clubhouse and entry to the pitch
- when using the clubhouse to access the toilets, wear a face covering. The Clubhouse is otherwise closed.
- sign-in using NHS QR codes displayed
- dogs must be kept on their leads and should not be take beyond the car park and area between the clubhouse and SLW pitch. Dogs must not be taken anywhere onto the Berkshire County Sports ground where the SLS is situated.

RCHC reserves the right to ask any person to be removed from the premises if they are refusing to follow the guidance placing anyone at risk or in danger.

To keep our members and coaches safe, please read the Reading Hockey guidelines carefully and when you visit the Club, ensure you always follow the rules of social distancing.

NB If you experience any Covid-19 symptoms or test positive for Covid-19 follow NHS and PHE guidance for treating symptoms and contact Reading Hockey Club’s Covid-19 officer Judith Barton immediately at covid@readinghockeyclub.org.uk or call 07710 019295. You must also contact NHS Track and Trace https://www.gov.uk/guidance/nhs-test-and-trace-how-it-works. Reading Hockey Club will report any incidents of Covid-19 to England Hockey.
