This Sunday we have the double header against Surbiton and we have been reliably informed that they are bringing a number of their Barmy Army Supporters!

So the Club is asking for the Blue Army to turn up in all their supporting / battle attire – be it Smurf Hats, Scarfs,Light / Dark Blue colours and Onesies, to show their support for the Ladies and Mens 1st XI’s and to help inflict a defeat on the opposition teams and army !!

Kicking off the day will be our Next Generation who will be practising and performing their drills from 9 to 11:45

Then we will have our passing out parade by our outgoing Field Marshall - President Mr John Miller - who will have the honour of officially opening our new water-based pitch at 11:45 before the Ladies game.

The Ladies will take to the pitch at 12:30 for the first battle, against a team that are top of the league but are missing a few key members of their ranks who have defected to Argentina!

When this battle has finished the Army can visit the Mess hall - The Hungry Hut - which will be open to feed you with Bacon / Sausage Butties, Teas and Coffees to help you regain your strength for the next battle!

The Men will appear in their fighting attire at 14.30 to avenge their previous meetings defeat over the opposition.

If need a rest then seats will be sold at £1 in the stand and the Routemaster Double Decker Bus!!!

Supporting the Blue Army will be the Mighty VP Army (Vice Presidents) who after they have been served their lunch and received their sustenance will be on hand to swell the ranks!

In the flanks (Sand Pitch) the Ladies 1a’s will be taking on the London Wayfarers in their Cup Game

So come on down to the Lane where there will be plenty to support and rally around the troops.
