It is with deep regret that I inform you of the untimely death of Ravi Shankar K Ghowry late on Sunday. Ravi was a good friend and valued member of the club. He was well-known to the hockey family for his many wonderful photographs of hockey matches that he took for Reading HC, for England Hockey as well as many other clubs, and he will be greatly missed.

The club has cancelled training this evening and will observe one minute’s silence at matches on Saturday and at the Colt’s training sessions on Sunday as a mark of respect. All match fee collection from this weekend will be donated to a charity chosen by Ravi’s family. Information about funeral arrangements will be passed on as soon as they are available.

Our thoughts are with Ravi’s family at this time.
