We are pleased to announce that 13 new Young Leaders will join the Reading Hockey Club Young Leaders ranks. The new YLs took their 3 days course last week covering the:
General principles of leadership
Delivering hockey
Umpiring
Organising a hockey festival
Managing hockey
How Hockey is structured and governed
Tutors Bev Thompson and Judith Barton were supported in delivering the course by Chris 'Radar' O'Hagan and Matt Kemp and Nic Barton. Matt and Nic are both Young Leaders from the Class of 2013 and are currently at university. Matt has also been coaching on the Reading Hockey Camps this Summer.

The YLs received an added bonus in their practical coaching sessions on the Wednesday morning when GB players Lee Morton and Peter 'Pedro' Scott dropped in. Lee takes up the role as Head of Minis Coaching and both Lee and Pedro will be coaching Colts at Reading this season.
