Last weekend saw Reading 3s travel away to face a well organised Marlow 1st team. After Dave locked all of his kit in has car and then lost his keys it was always going to be an interesting day. The first half saw two goals go Marlow's way on the counterattack which the guys were understandably disappointed with.
Nearing the end of the first half a well worked move from some of the more 'senior' members of the team led to a clear chance for Joe Kulbacki on the revers which he put away comfortably with the slowest shot ever seen that still managed to find the top corner. This mean that Reading finished the half with a 1 goal deficit. An inspiring chat from the temp Aussie coach Bretherton mean they were ready to go straight into the 2nd half. Although the second half started very scrappy Reading were in control of the game. Finally after some quick reactions from one of the aforementioned 'senior' members of the team Sam Howells Reading drew level and then took the lead to see out the match and take an important win from a top of the table clash. This sees Reading in 3rd place with another top of the table match this coming weekend against Chiswick at home.
Dan Hulbert remains goalless but he didn't get a card... so you take what you can get.
