The Redsox had an excellent afternoon in the Crawley clubhouse watching England give Scotland a good Six Nations drubbing in the company of our two kilted team members Hamish Pringle and Steven Springthorpe – worth the drive.
Oh yes….. and before that we received a well-deserved drubbing ourselves at the hands of a young Crawley side who put their buckets and spades to better use on their sandpit of a pitch. (One mention - Peter Wright scored on his Redsox season debut – so I’d better make him man of the match!!).
The result made no difference as we finished a magnificent second in the league behind worthy winner Epsom. Thank you, squad, for letting me play, captain and write match reports about what has been a cracking season on and off the pitch.
All Redsox are requested to make themselves available next week for SVs 1.30pm away at OCs, Stuart Shepherd and I will be selecting the strongest possible team to help the SVs close out their league title next weekend.
Also, please diary yourselves for April 1st 12.00 at RHC for league cup semi-final against Southgate and a possible final also at RHC on April 8th. Can you confirm your availability for March 18th, April 1st and April 8th to me personally as Nick is away so that we can plan our end of season campaign!
Good luck 050s today
Micky
