Maidenhead Seen Off

In spite of another 5 players making their first appearance for the Redsox this season we continued to play some good, passing hockey and soon took the lead against Maidenhead with good support coming from the Relics.

As the groupies departed we conceded in a rare Maidenhead foray into our D. However, our midfield continued to dominate and it was 3-1 at HT. As the heavy rain came we continued to play well, even if with a little less intensity, and added 2 more high quality goals in the second half to send our local friends back across the river with their tails between their legs.

For those that like to keep the records the goal scorers were, in no particularly order, as they say (mostly because I can’t remember): Pelly, Jon, Ben M, Chris L, and Paxo (Happy 50th birthday today Paxo)

Just one more game for the Redsox before Christmas against OC next Saturday morning. They are currently top of the table so those that end up playing bring your A game!
