Crucial League Tie

The Grand masters took time off from celebrating Christmas to play the crucial league tie away at IG, and what a great effort it was.
The side was almost at full strength and started well, with Nick rounding off a slick short corner to open the scoring.
IG levelled through Kulbir Bhaura against the run of play, but Micky finished well from a Bartie pass into the circle to send us in two - one at the break.
As the second half got under way IG pressed further up the pitch and caused the defence problems. One of the IG inside forwards, scored the goal of the game by reverse looping the ball from the left edge of the D into the top corner of the goal. Rav could only look on.
They pressed again and went further ahead as a defence error let them, and made it four from an excellent Kulbir Bhaura short corner strike.
Sadly Rage had to leave the field suffering from a bug, and this made it more tricky for the comeback. Micky had a chance ruled out for the minor offence that he chested it in! But scored the third with a great diving finish from Micky off a well struck Pelly cross.
Not the result we wanted but a good game to play in and the good news is Boothers kept a clean sheet.
The curry was well received in the packed clubhouse, as Micky's selfie show.
