Hatrick for new signing Georgie Blackwood

Beeston 0 Reading 5

Georgie Blackwood made a sensational Investec League debut by scoring a hat-trick for Reading at Beeston.
The New Zealander, who only recently flew into the country, supplied the goal power that Blues have been missing
this season.
The five goals on Saturday took the team's total to 16 goals, with 10 of them having came against bottom-of-the-table Beeston.
Alex Danson, who scored four times in the 5-2 win at home last month, missed the return game due to England's Champions Trophy trip to Argentina, while Susie Gilbert was also on the same plane.

So the arrival of the 21-year-old Kiwi could not have come at a better time. Team captain Emma Thomas also took the opportunity to put her name on the scoresheet. She opened the scoring on 21 minutes and her goal boosted the side's confidence.
Blues went in search of more goals and it was Blackwood who obliged in the 32nd and 34th minutes to put the visitors in command of the game by half-time.
Blackwood scored again on 40 minutes, giving her a hat-trick in just eight minutes of playing time.
Thomas rounded off the scoring with a penalty stroke in the 49th minute.
Reading remain seventh in the table, but three of the sides above them - University of Birmingham, Holcombe and Canterbury - all lost at the weekend and the goal of a top four finish remains possible.

Reading take on Surbiton at home on Sunday 30th Nov at 12:30 before the Mens Surbiton game at 14:30
