All the W's!

It was a wet and windy day, but the 1`s kindly agreed to let us share the cage with them for our warm up :).

We started the match strong with an Armstrong double whammy up front, we were passing well and got the ball moving quickly up the pitch to India who's reverse strike rather stunned Witney making it 1-0. We had amazing short corners compared to last week! However, we were still unable to convert!

By half time we were 3-0 up with India getting another and Mae getting the other.

The second half brought a spattering of rain and a few more supporters to our already loud crowd. Witney put the pressure on as we laid back a little too much, nevertheless we regained composure and possession with many slick passages of play. This led to India completing her hat trick. Many attempts followed, Mani hit the crossbar and missed a few tennis shots.

The crowd were ooo-ing and ahh-ing as Reading danced round Witney however, a small lapse in concentration led to a scrabble in front of our goal some great saves were made by Anna's foot(?) and Georgia. Suddenly Witney scored a tap in on the back post and it was 4-1.

Reading retook possession and continued to the end of the game that way.

MOM to India for the hat trick
DOD to Mani for "missing the goal" and hitting the crossbar, a close contender was Emily for hitting her sister's arm.

Many thanks to Anna K for producing yummy chocolate brownies despite being in Italy! :)
