Frozen!

It was ridiculously freezing to the point where we might as well as have been playing in ice!

As feeling in fingers were lost spirits were kept high and Mae scored in the first half.

At half time after many Haribo's were eaten our press was revived. As play went on Tots distributed the ball well and Georgia talked from the back, India sent some great passes up the line.

Meg and Rachel had some close calls in the D and although we didn't score again we kept pushing for another goal until the final whistle.

It's fair to say there was plenty of short corner practise (again!) and Banbury made a number of counter attacks, some of which Reading dealt with well and a few where we were lucky to get away with not conceding! There were some good shots on goal, but perhaps a few too many were at the keeper and Banbury's post players protected the goal well during short corners.

MOM - 3 way split - India, Meg & Marta
DOD - Steffi (her car broke down) however, this wasn't really a DOD reason so it was overruled and given to Meg who turned up in the wrong kit and didn't bring the other, which is always listed to be brought to every game!

Looking forward to next week's bake-off between Frankie & Meg!
