Legends in our own minds

Early season signings are already making a healthy difference to the team, and we are delighted to welcome Sandy's power, Lightening Liz's speed and enthusiasm and Henna's youth and mobility. Negotiations are firmly underway between our respective 'agents' and I hope to be able to announce further signings, including our next mother and daughter combination, very soon.

Apart from the winning scoreline (Goals, Trina 2, Liz 1), there was much to admire about our game on Saturday. For one, everyone knew where they were playing as we had a manager running the bench - thanks Heidi and hope you are feeling better soon. We had lots of shots on goal, and with a lesser keeper the scoreline would have been even more impressive. At times there was some good link play, and much better awareness of player positioning. Janice had the luxury of playing a whole game in the same position, our defence moved the ball round well and generally we retained more possession. (And as any Chelsea fan will know, Mourinho's managerial advice following their 4-2 win yesterday was: "you can't win without the ball" - priceless!). Man of the match was Louise.
