And it feels ggggoooooodddddddd

Great start to our league campaign - well done everyone. Sustained pressure in the first half was rewarded with a short corner which was stunningly diverted into the top left hand corner by Janice, from a bullet like Tracy H strike. Definitely a contender for goal of the season. Liz's determination to be involved in all the action was rewarded by her second half goal. Ant was outstanding as our central pivot, making herself available to support and distribute. The youth of the team made their presence known, whilst your captain had one lung bursting run that defied her years (we will ignore the fact that she then had to come off soon after as she couldn't breath!). Liv was much deserved man of the match. Amy was once again very solid in goal, magnificently saving a penalty flick. Our defensive unit worked well to pass the ball round the back and it was only fatigue in the last quarter that allowed Amersham to nick a goal back. We need to work on maintaining our discipline and shape as we get tired.

Thank you to Louise for managing our bench, and to supporters who came from afar. Parent of the week award goes to Sophie's Dad for driving all the way from Swindon - thank you.
