With an average age difference of about 15 years, early goals were the order of the day.

With an average age difference between the teams of about 15 years, early goals were the order of the day. And the team duly obliged taking a 3 - 0 lead into half time (goals Trina, Sandy, Liv). As the second half progressed, our hardy band of supporters had much chewing of nails to contend with, as we tired and left our defence with too many holes to fill. Henley Development, gaining in confidence, somehow found a way to scrabble the ball into the net not once, but twice, leaving us with a nervous last 15 minutes.
With joint players of the match Tammy and Liz restored to the pitch, a quickly taken free hit was driven up the line, crossed to Tracy at the top of the D to move quickly onto Liv to tap in for her second goal of the game. Fantastic, and all could breath a sigh of relief as we held on for a deserved 4-2 win.
Whilst the forwards worked well to take their chances, much credit must go to stand in goalie Zoe, and our ever rotating backs, Heidi, Tammy, Amanda and Janice.
