Fuzzy recollections...

It was a late push back at 4.30 all the way out in Aylesbury. It was a new pitch and seemingly no-one knew the way and by 4.10 there was only 2 people at the right pitch. Only for the opposition to tell us that the post code does not take you to the pitch! Having nearly lost both Liz and Sandy to somewhere in Aylesbury they turned up just in time for the push back! Good job too with a hat trick of hat tricks we made it 4 wins in 4 and upped our goal tally to 19 with a 10-1 win!!! A hat trick for Tracy, Sandy and Liz, and Kelly scored the goal to round it up to 10! A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! A joint MOM to Tracy and Sandy for all the goal attacks. I'd mention more about the goals but to be honest we lost count at the back and maybe one too many Shandy's afterwards might be to blame for the lack of memory!

We played well and used the space with some great passing moves and excellent perseverance especially in the D. The forwards and inners had some great shots on goals and we converted quite a few. Tracy over heard the umpire say that Sandy's goal was the best strike he's seen this season!

The defence dealt neatly with many of the break away attacks and Zoe made some fabulous saves! We were so enjoying our time in their D we got caught a bit short at the back to let in just the 1 goal. But by the end of the second half Karen complained of being cold and wandered up the pitch into the D for the last 15 minutes. Ant told Tammy to go up, but the offer was politely declined but Ant was shortly overtaken by some blistering pace as Tammy disappeared up into the D getting several short corners! Tammy even took the strike and she scored......only for it to be disallowed, for ..well we have no idea...but the excitement was obviously a tad too much as she was unable to make the post match celebrations! Next week for the goal and the post match drinks Tam?

As we started late and it was practically dark the mission quickly turned to what time will we get back, what time can we get the taxis booked, how many Mojitos will Rach and Jules already have drunk by the time we got there! On arriving at the Slug and Lettuce and news of the A-M-A-Z-I-N-G 10-1 win Rachel promptly screamed the house down! Much to the shock of not only us but the rest of the pub ;-). Apart from Tracy's vibrating chair from sitting under the speaker and something about the music being too loud, we all had a great night of wine, beer, sparkles, cocktails and finished off with shots of Peach Schnapps, Apple Sours and B52s! Marvellous (apparently we need to bring this back into the English vocabulary) game and a fab night out with such entertaining friends!
