Controversial entry to SPLASH

With this season's SPLASH competition wide open, Janice made a dramatic, but controversial entry. The ball was in her vicinity but she claims she was not near it when she seemed to use an opposition hockey stick to cartwheel dramatically and end up in a heap on the floor. Nurse Blunden was called and after several minutes agreed that Janice could play on. Those nearer the action will have to decide whether this was a genuine entry or figment of our imagination.
Back to more serious matters - the match itself. Team instructions were to remember who we are (The Fabulous 4's), relax and enjoy ourselves. Never have the captains' words been followed so closely. We were so relaxed we were almost horizontal and seemed to do everything in slow motion! The only urgency and speed displayed in the first half was the team effort to get Zoe into her goal keeping kit in under a minute - good job girls. Luckily we had Emma and Dipesh adding vocal instruction and encouragement from the sideline, and a rather fortuitous touch from Trina allowed us to go into half time 1-0 up.
Energy sweets (quite disgusting) were consumed, eyes were opened and we started the second half much brighter. Man of the match Ant was a demon and combined well with our youthful pod of Henna, Sophie, Lucy and Tracy(?!) to ensure we kept moving forward. One such attack resulted in some beautiful passing up the middle of the field with Sandy adding a second goal from a well followed rebound.
And so we go into the Christmas break with an unbeaten league record. Knowing the 4's I am confident that upper body strength will be maintained (glass to mouth), nutritious refuelling will continue (mince pies and christmas cake - so full of fruit you know) whilst all will work hard on improving their overall fitness (parties mean dancing...).
