Oxford Hawks 6's

We welcomed two guest stars to our team, Blanche at the front and Dianne at the back.

After a rather bad 1st 10 – 15 minutes, least said the better and losing 2 nil, we started to pull ourselves together and play better. This resulted in a fine goal from Blanche.

A positive team chat and a slight re adjustment in formation saw us play some rather good hockey and another goal from Blanche drew us level.

MOM was Nett, but honourable mentions must go to Ant and Dianne as well. Krishna had a very determined and strong game, tackling well and Oxford Hawks found it difficult to get the ball off her. Some good passing play across the middle and some individual minutes; Liv’s lovely move – receiving the ball by her right foot and allowing it to travel across to the left of her body and then turning it into the D, Trina was unlucky when an Oxford Hawks player kicked the ball to her giving her a breakaway chance only to be bought back for a free hit by the umpire. Great saves as usual from Nicky.

Unfortunately we couldn’t find another goal, but were glad to come away from the game with a point.
