Our Ladies 1s have secured promotion to the premier division next year with a game in hand.

We have had a 5 year break out of premier division hockey, and the push for promotion has been building significantly for the past 3 years. 2 seasons ago we finished second, last season we were comfortable at the top of the table before the league was null and voided due to Covid - and this year we have done it!

We have had 23 players play in the 1s throughout the season including 9 debuts. Everyone involved throughout this process has made massive contributions to us achieving promotion.

We set a goal at the start of the season that this was the year that we were getting promoted. We found ourselves 5 points behind top of the league heading into the Christmas break, which was a slightly disappointing place to be. However our post Christmas record has been great with - 6 wins and 2 draws. These results alongside others have meant we leapfrogged into the lead and are now comfortably 5 points ahead with 1 game to go.

A big moment in the season was our game against Sevenoaks at home. We were tied on points heading into this game with the outcome deciding the new leader in the table. We had a fantastic crowd down that day who made it an amazing atmosphere to play in. It was an exciting game of hockey (hopefully for the spectators as well), we built throughout the game, were dominant throughout and played some lovely hockey on the way to a 2-0 win thanks to a brace from Mia Moore.

Huge thank you to the team behind the team: Martin Schouten (Head coach), Richard Dixon (Manager) and the team at OnePhysio who have supported us week in week out!

Thank you very much to everyone that has come down to support us both home and away throughout the season - your support has been awesome and much appreciated by us all.

Our final game is this Saturday 2nd April vs Wimbledon, 2pm at home. It would be great to have a crowd down to support the game and join us to celebrate our promotion in the club house afterwards. As always any support is hugely appreciated by the team!
