As part of our commitment to provide excellent opportunities for our juniors, we are delighted to launch a new partnership with Aspire USA, who provide selective admissions and sport scholarship services to talented student athletes looking to study and play sport at American universities and colleges.

A number of Reading players are currently or have studied and played in the USA in recent years including Ladies 1s captain Lucie Daman, Yvie Lock and Jess Beech.

Aspire USA was founded in 2017 by former Scottish international, Holly Cram. In this short time, Aspire has brokered over $10 million in athletic scholarship money for their clients. They have placed clients at colleges in every corner of the US including, Harvard, Princeton, Duke, Yale, Cal Berkeley, Stanford, Northwestern, University of Michigan, UNC, Northeastern, UCLA, Iowa, Louisville and many more.

Holly has said of the partnership: “Aspire USA is thrilled to form a partnership with Reading Hockey Club to assist their youngsters access life-changing opportunities to play and study in the USA. Reading Hockey Club is one of the premier hockey clubs in England and with a thriving youth section, we are so looking forward to securing scholarships for their talented youngsters. Having been a former student-athlete at the University of Richmond, Virginia myself, the experience prepared me for a long international playing career but more importantly, it set me up for my life and it was the most fun I have ever had.”
