Headed by hockey parent Simon Maidlow, a team from Ridge & Partners LLP got to work on our grounds on the one rain-free day of last week. Throughout the day, 15 employees came along to cut back the hedges and trees in the main car park and the areas surrounding our water pitch that had become heavily overgrown. A steady eye was required for painting the posts and parking lines in the main car park.

RHC's own Simon Cooney organised the day's work schedule and the hire of a very efficient chipper. The busy day was topped off with Alex's pizzas whilst relaxing by the Hungry Hut in the sunshine.

Behind the scenes Ridge is also drawing up plans to make more efficient use of our site for parking and additional disabled parking bays . Ridge is a Multidiscipline Property & Construction Consultants. RHC would like to thank both Simon's for their hard work and all the team from Ridge for spending thier Corporate Responsibility day at Reading Hockey Club.

It was a fun and very worthwhile day which has made a big difference to our heavily overgrown grounds.
