Reading Hockey Club have a vacancy for a cook to prepare our post-match teas at our clubhouse in Sonning Lane (RG4 6ST). Working during the Hockey season (September to April) on Saturday (10am-5pm depending on the fixtures) and occasionally on Sunday (12-4pm - also depending on the fixtures), this role would suit someone who would like to become part of one of the most significant hockey clubs in the UK.

We have a strong family ethos within the club and we are looking for someone who would enjoy the camaraderie of a successful sports club, and well as delivering tasty food to the players and officials. The role has become available only due to the retirement of a long-standing and much-respected predecessor.

Pay is £8-10 per hour, depending upon experience, and we would like candidates with a minimum of Food Safety level 2. The benefits include free parking and free membership of the Hockey Club for you and your family. There is an opportunity to extend this role during the summer months for the cricket section.
