Fast paced draw

Another early start for the 3A's in the sunshine. Change to the changing room completely threw Mrs Newman BUT the ladies toilets are being mended (thanks Alan!).

The game started very fast with a well taken goal by Buckingham - Reading were a bit worried. However, end to end play led to a short corner to Reading, which was expertly converted by skipper Rachel. 1-1. Reading used the goal as a catalyst to improve their marking and forward play but Buckingham slotted another in to make it 1-2 at half time.

Excellent play by Maddie and Amy in midfield kept the pressure up on the Buckingham defence and led to a free hit on the edge of the D which was quickly taken by Charlie. She surprised everyone by taking the free quickly and dribbled into the circle and hit a goal from a narrow angle. Buckingham got another back before a shot at goal was saved by the keeper and Charlie launched a cricket shot into the back of the net - using the new 3D hockey rules.

Lots to learn for all, still need to work on positioning on the pitch relative to each other but great promise shown by all.

Match teas allowed Maddie to get the captain's award for listening and Charlie to christen her new gold iPhone :)
