First Points for the Season

After a delayed start the Men's 3s put together a strong performance to power past Bicester for their first three points of the new campaign.

From the outset controlled and incisive passing from the Reading midfield, ably marshalled by Ahmet Tuney Reading proved to be decisive and a flowing move early in the game got Nic Barton his first goal of the season. Reading soon extended the lead. I'd like to say it was a rocket of a drag-flick at a Penalty Corner from Tuney but let's just say they all count. 2-0 and cruise control but Bicester got a foothold in the game with a great reverse stick effort in to the top of the net to bring Reading's lead back to one goal.

The first half wasn't over and Chris Priddle and Rob Kearney with his own reverse smash put Reading in charge at the break.

The second half continued in the same fashion, Chris Priddle got a second well struck effort, Tuney got a brace too, Ollie Clark finally diverted one in to the goal having created some great opportunities and Jonny Kirton either diverted one in from a Toby Pratt shot or nicked a goal from Toby on the line. Let's say it was the former. No one else has claimed a goal so I'm sticking with 8-1 despite rumours of nine.

MoM - Cam Ellis for some unselfish forward play
DoD - Toby Pratt for not scoring for a fifth game running (which I think is harsh, but that's democracy)
