A winning start for the 4s

First game of the season the ladies 4s played Witney at home.

The team started well and spent most of the time in the opposition's D. The first goal came from built up team play with the ball landing with Helen on the right post, a little lift saw the ball past the goalkeeper, 1-0. Unfortunately, Witney reacted and scored an equalising goal taking the score to 1-1 by half time.

Reading continued to dominate the second half with an improved connectivity and some lovely passing through the middle. Our second goal came from Issy making a beautiful pass back to Lily who slotted it in the goal, 2-1.

The team's success continued with an Ellie special from the top of the D bring the score to a more comfortable 3-1. We weren't quite done yet and Ciara decided it was her turn to shine....dribble into the top D, followed by a fabulous reverse stick shot. Final score was 4-1.

Overall a great start to the season and the first 3 points on the league table.... exciting stuff for the season ahead.
