Ted Warren - Performance Squad Captain (1’s/2’s)

The 1XI plays a key part in representing Reading Hockey Club. We have a great history in the national league and it is important to us to maintain that high level status, not only for us as a team, but to represent the whole club at the highest level. The team is young and bursting at the seams with talent. With world-class coaches Jason Lee, Danny Newcombe leading the programme we have huge potential to become as great as previous Reading 1XI’s.

Playing Saturday nights under the floodlights is a great experience for the 1XI, with spectators gathered, competition fierce and a bustling atmosphere.

The 2XI plays a key role in supporting the 1XI with a squad full of players that are pushing for the 1st team, we have experienced heads in the team and some very talented youngsters that have come through the ranks. The drive and passion that all the players hold brings a great atmosphere to training and match days. After a successful 2023/24 campaign the 2XI will now play in the England Hockey Conference and provide a fantastic opportunity to those pushing 1XI and thos with aspirations to play in the National League.

Training times:
Tuesday (SLS) - 19:30 meet / 20:00 start / 22:00 finish.
Thursday (SLW) - 19:45 meet / 20:15 start / 22:00 finish.
